20th March - Birthday??? F1?? Wrrooom wrooom or Happy Birthday to you ..??

Well without noticing it , i went through my birthday in a flash of an eye ! Yesterday was 20th and so 2 major events happened . For becky it was Liverpool and F1 , but since football doesn't exist in my dictionary of life , so for me it's my 18th birthday and yup the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix!!! hahahahaha my mind was so focused on this great event that i'd totally forgot about my birthday until Mich sms-ed me at 12 am to remind me again! Hahahahha ... If you all know Becky and read her blog , you'd noticed her latest entry was discussing her trip to F1 and so yeap she was my so-called "victim" yesterday . Hahahha why ? Let's see..

For a reason i really didn't expect , i didn't know why she agreed to go with me to Sepang under the sweltering hot sun of Malaysia , sitting on hillstand (which means grass on a hill) open air without cover / shade , travelling all the way to Sepang which means out of KL near to KLIA , spending almost a fortune on transportation , food (darn drinks that cost us rm 4 for a mineral water!) , and also the trouble to walk and walk and walk for more than 4 km ...

Friends ? Have you ever felt blessed when God blesses you with bunch of friends that you should be thankful for!? I'm definitely thankful for a bunch of friends who though didn't want to go with me , but they bless me in a way to pay for Becky and my tickets (as my birthday gift) , and a friend like Becky who's willing to experience and accompany me to something she is not ever interested in . Hahahahhah THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Okie back to 20th March , yup .. and so prior to the GP , i was busy arranging the transport and all with my sis (Hem) because this was such a last minute decision that i thought it's OK better than never! Just when i thought no one would go with me and i'd have to end up being depressed in front of the electronic idiotic box like last year , i'm glad I found becky! hehehhe .. and so my sis came out with this package for both of us , including sending us to Sepang tru and fro with a lunch box of hotdog and fresh lemonade , as well as big umbrella , a mat , service of digital camera . It sounds good right ? But she wanted to charge me rm 85 for it! hahahaha it was quite reasonable considering i don't have to take public transport but i managed to lower down the price till rm 65 because i'm taking only a one way trip instead of coming back with the car as well ... (after experiencing past 3 trips i've been there! i know what's best) And so anyway , the deal was sealed so Eric ko-ko was the operator who fetched us to Sepang and even took me to the market to buy some food ...

We arrived at Sepang at around 8+ am ... (sounds early rite!??) but anyway time passes really quick ... as we walked into the Welcome Area , we visited some booths selling differen't teams' merchandise and surprising to find out some people from the booths thought we were Japanese! Oh and also that's when i start to receive loads of sms from friends to wish me Happy Birthday.. heheh then i recall it was my birthday! hahahahha i must be glad ... hahaha And so we visited those booth pretending we wanted to buy things though we know we couldn't afford them ! My mouth was watering with saliva when i so wanted to buy the Schumi cap (wheaaaaa.... it reminds me of my old cap!!! WHERE ARE YOU??) and this nice Ferrari blouse that would cost me almost rm 400! MAD! And so yeah we took some real nice pics here and there ... hehehe but i'll post it up soon when Eric ko-ko save the pics up in a CD for me ... Not many but i like them . =)

While busy walking and searching for hopeful Germans , i was also busy searching for a toilet that i can defecate ! How pathetic can they get when i find none , and so i told the lady who's doing a survey on me that i can't find a toilet so put their toilet facilites "POOR" . At around 9+am we decided to depart from the Welcome Area and take a Circuit Shuttle bus off to our hillstand seat . And so it was quite a far journey to G hillstand .... We reached there only to realise there were guards all over the gate checking on our bags ! They didn't let us bring any food or drinks in and so we had to leave our bag of potato chips , chipsmore , and fried noodles outside the gates! I insisted on bringing in my Sigg bottle so in order to so , we had to throw away our existing water and bring in only empty bottle !! HOW STUPID!! I can't believe i threw away precious water !!!

Anyway we left our bag of food outside , and went in to take a nice cozy seat under a tree .... until more people came and they started sitting all around us . After the qualifying session we decided to go out and take our lunch . Fortunately our fried noodles were still eadible and so we had an economical lunch . Saw people started throwing their mineral bottles over the high fence and so i tried to do the same . Sadly it not only didn't pass over the fence but hit it and some officials came to stand there for such a long time to stop people from doing that . And so after a while we decided not to take any risks and just went in without our junk food and water ! Arrrghhh....

Around 1300 we went back in to realise our original seat under the tree was taken and we started sliding down because the hill top was very steep. I told Becky to sit lower even though it's SCORCHING HOT we have umbrellas , so it should be fine . Yup and so we moved lower and it was much better without anyone crowding around us , and even with the hot sun shining on us we just shaded ourselves with the big umbrella i brought and our mini-umbrellas we had to cover our legs! Hehehhehe ... after seeing the Drivers Parade where they come out in Vintage Cars to wave to the crowd , i took some nice pics of the drivers and oh almost missed Schumi but managed to take his photo before he pass us ! hehehhe .... he's sooo macho my God!!

Around 1400 we had fun lying down flat on our bags and mat , took some lame pictures and had fun enjoying the TUDM jet planes stunts ... Around 14 45 i could hear engines started roaring and yup D- RAce is about to began ... The race was fun , especially i saw Jenson Button's car spun off with my binoculors in the opposite corner .. and when he stopped his car just at our hillstand , i quickly put my shoes on and took the camera and stormed down the hill to catch a glimpse of hiM! (I MEAN I REALLY STORMED LIKE FLASH) hahahaha .... Took some nice pics of him and really saw him closely though he was covered in his suit and helmet . Anyway the whole race went uneventful after that because all the accidents and retirement didn't happen in our corner and so after the second half of the race i lost track of what was happening .. There were no big screen there and so i didn't even know when the race ended!

But i wasn't that bad after all , knew who won and top 7 position .. sigh ... I'm so upset Schumi didn't win for my birthday but it's ok... i know he tried his best in every race and it wasn't his fault , just the whole package wasn't good enough yet . I will wait for the new Ferrari 2005 spec to be used and see what's going to happen time to come . Renault , you're not going to dominate easily!! Hahahhaa .. and so we packed our things and headed off the track at around 1700 ... Ok this is the amazing part ... our day didn't just end but began there !

Left the hillstand walking and walking hoping to catch a shuttle bus back to KL , but i don't know that leaving the track just after the race would cause us so much trouble ! I remembered in 2003 i left the track with my sister somewhere 2 laps before the end of the race and we managed to catch a bus easily to Bkt Bintang and reach KL around 6+ pm ... That was 2003 and in 2005 i must critisize that the SIC did a stupidly bad job AGAIN in handling transport !!! I had the worse experience in 2000 but in 2005 it was horrible again ! We had to walk like more than 3 km from G hillstand to A Welcome Area and still walked all the way out to the main road of Sepang Circuit to hitch a public transport ! And so after seeing so many people waiting for buses to get back to KL , we decided to hitch a taxi back with rm 70 from Sepang to becky's house and then back to Masjid Jamek to drop me . Boy it was quite worth it knowing the jam and all ... we were almost frozen to death in the taxi for 2 hours because of the air con ... we saw sun set in the cab hahahaha ....

All in all , i'm greatful that my stomach behaved extremely well yesterday knowing the fact i exercised so much it'll take my bones off and with no food allowed in ... oh and also not mentioning our bag of food was stolen after we wanted to collect it after the race!! God bless that child who is so interested in 2 bags of potato chips , 2 pack of half left fried noodles , chipsmore and some sweets ! arrrghhhh!!!! I WANTED MY JACK & JILL!! Anyway i reached home safely at 8+ pm after 12 hours of time spent in Sepang .... just once a year i get to enjoy the look of 20 600kg machines , let my ears go deaf with more than 80 decibels of engines roar sound , admiring the coolness of more than 19000 rpm cars , and experiencing 20 arrow-like racing cars that moves up to 300+ km per hour right in front of my eyes !

Oh so exhausted i was after i reached home .... i actually switched on the Astro to watch the repeat of the race because i missed all the accidents like i mentioned above . IT was indeed a great race and though Schumi didn't win for me , i'm glad to enjoy a great day in Sepang ! Spending my birthday in Sepang seemed ironic ? I don't think so as long as i am happy just like what "you" said girl! And so off i go trying to fight with rashes all over my back and hands now that i had to buy calomine lotion to cool me down ! I practically stayed in my air-con room and even slept with my pyjamas front buttons open yesterday night to cool myself down! We thought it was probably the sunblock we applied on because i never had heat rashes before after coming back from Sepang previous years before . Anyway , now i really hope it'll be healed or at least not so itchy before i meet my future boss rather soon!!

To you guys , thanks for the wonderful support to buy the tickets for my birthday ! To becky , hheheheh you know how much i appreciate your effort to go with my yesterday but i still want to thank you again! =) To everyone else , i really enjoyed my once a year experience and i'd still want to go again next year ! Sheer disappointment not being able to watch Takuma Sato in action but i pray that you get well soon Taku ! Signing off !
