That's it... It's FINISHED

Well , i shall write this whole post in red colour. Since people get irritated with the colour changes of my font each time they read the blog. Anyway , here's one post to dedicate to my final and REALLY final semester concert and convocation of my 2 years as a full time music student in YAAM.

Hmm 12 January .. my girl Poh Yee's 21st birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY GIRL! I promised to sing her a birthday song , but too bad we didn't have the time and opportunity to do so .. coz you know what, during the midnight before when i sms-ed her to wish her , she requested for me to sing to her but i told her i'll do it tomorrow. Which then i immediately went to my piano and practiced Happy Birthday song in TANGO style. HAHAHAHHA! But too bad didn't get to show her. Sorry .. next year la. HAHAHAH

Well , i slept extremely late the night before .. as usual , got hooked online with Mun Wei ... and we both were just crapping and enjoying the night out .. after such such a tiring week ... from Tues-Fri we were busy practising ... and of course not mentioning the Monday night shopping trip to Sunway Pyramid to get this short half woolen EXPENSIVE jacket of mine to match my red hot tube for my LIbertango performance. On Thurs , i went to Sg Wang with mom after another trip to Central Market to send the 2-1plus3+1 T shirts for printing .... the purpose this time is to get a black cork shoe to replace my old one which was spoilt after my 3rd sem performance exam. NO CHOICE .. Julie was making noise at me trying to wear my white sports shoe for convo.

So Fri after a tiring day practising in Academy, we left at 4+pm and i starved myself all the way until 9pm without dinner and went home for supper. Which then caused me a consecutive few days gastric .. stupid. Then Sat woke up 8 40am and got myself refreshed , we promised to meet in Academy at 9 45am and head to Unc Frankie's place to get our hairdo done. As usual we were a little late , and the salon was PACKED already by 10am! We waited ... and I waited... until my turn , some misunderstanding happened and because of that i got myself really irritated with the pathetic girl who was super rude to me. And i got fed up with her and showed her my black face and she even HEATED my hair so HOT that i gave a very loud

OOOUCCCHHH!!

She apologized but it was so insincere. ANyway , cut the story short , i got my bobbed hair extremely extra BOBBED with red hair spray to highlight them. For the whole day. While in the salon , Ms Cheah Mun Wei received some random phone call about her trip to buy flowers for us which was suppose to be a surprise but i kept repeating myself of not wanting the flowers but in the end she still got it for us. And i'm really thankful for it. THANKS GIRL..,. you must've spent a lot wei... thanks! So touched!

Alright , after all the lunch and make up .. i was pretty drained out already coz of the exhaustion from the week before .. .and the whole day before... by then i only knew i had little appetite to eat but still had to gobble down 1 packet of chicken rice. We put on our graduation robes by 1 30pm and gathered in the hall for the memorable ceremony ... By 1 45pm people started arriving ,i mean our family members .. not to say a lot of people came .HAHAHAH ... I went in to the hall and practiced my Fascinating Rhythm performance with the stupid robe .. and then i asked Guan ,

"Have you seen Harry Potter playing the electone?"

He laughed... Anyway the convo started around 2 45pm ... and by then , all my family members made their presence well known when the 2 nieces of mine went around asking my friends if they've seen LILY ... apparently.. right ... then my friends came to look for me and shouted,

"EH lily , Jr and Cousin are here! They can't stop calling Ah Beh"

By 2 45pm , the ceremony began .. and we walked in ... everything happened so fast. Those were the days 1 year ago i was sitting at the EL playing the Pomp and Circumstance Classical music for the graduates to walk in , but now i'm actually one of them. The lecturers (MISERABLE FEW) walked in ahead of us with the upstairs management people .. before us.. And oh after receiving my scroll i walked back to my seat and saw YAY! C.H ... he finally made it to come for the ceremony with Mun Wei standing behind him .. he gave me a wave and i waved back like a child. Waah those were the days ... i remember only doing this once in my life to my ex-teacher last time in Lot 10 ... There's always a child in everyone huh? The ceremony went on and blah blah ... the ceremony went on , i accepted my scroll of empty cert and sat down. Then they announce the Best Student Award and i gave my speech ...

I changed the content of my speech as compared to the one written in the Program Book , because apparently Mun Wei thinks it's too show off. hahahahah so i took their advice and changed some of it to make it more humble. I started off with the changes of my perception towards Classical music after coming to Academy ,and then went of with the list of THANK YOU's to various people. Which for the first time, very openly acknowledging my LORD JEsus first , then to lecturers and oh my mentor mr Classic C.H , then to mua parents and siblings , and finally to my friends in YAAM. When i was speaking , i saw some wet and red eyes in some of my classmates' faces ... and i don't know why instead of crying along , i just smiled at them with that kind "AWW don't cry look".

After the speech , i went on to perform my Fascinating Rhythm .. my most challenging 7/4 rhythm song! I mean in terms of time signature , but only the process of learning it la.. after knowing how to play it , it becomes unnoticable. I gave this really unprofessional wink and smile to jessica or someone who was taking my picture or something in between my performance which i've not done before ..the reason being because i felt my face was so serious and tensed that people probably thought i was angry or ready to eat them up.

After the performance , the vocal ensemble sang You Raise Me Up arranged by myself and Chin Siang ... for once i exchanged parts with Siang .Hehehhe he gets to play on the piano and I stick to El ... ok the original arrangement i intended to be didn't turn out , so Pok advised to do without rhythm . Fine .. ok with me. After the touching song , I suddenly felt like crying already... don't know why. Was holding back my tears , and walking out after the ceremony ended made me feel a little sad ... coz that's it. It's the end of my 2 years here. My beautiful dream life ... After the ceremony ended , we were all busy taking photographs and my family members took with me .. including the pork chop girls ... and with my beloved beloved friends... and the group pic .. of us throwing our scrolls and stuffs ... take a look.
