Grateful ...
I'm suppose to finish up my Bangkok trip post but i'm too lazy .. haahha basically the final day was just checking out of the uni dorm and travelling to bangkok city centre , and getting ourselves lost around some streets that looked like Petaling Street and pulling my heavy big baggage around the streets... walking through people and finally going shopping with it , until we took a cab to the airport. Yes , cher, grace and i walked around pulling and carrying our baggages.. so you imagine the amount of muscle pull i had after coming back from Bangkok. Hahahahha but it was adventurous and it's fun to be adventurous ; i kinda like it.
Anyway back to serious matters. I just wanna thank God and PRAISE HIM to the highest.. for putting great stuffs into my life. Doing music is one of the most difficult decision i've ever made since high school and ever since i made that decision the journey thus far had been amazing. The people He put into my life , friends , GREAT awesome teachers , it just makes life a little more meaningful. After having such blessed teachers i am beginning to be more grateful and appreciative of my surroundings and the things i am blessed with.
I resumed class with Cher on Monday and although i played rubbish in class ; and Wei called it "The Shaky Hands" day .. coz my mind wasn't in the right frame to really focus and think of nice lines . Anyway that's besides the point , my point is .. i had so much fun though i was a little disheartened about my rubbish playing but nevertheless i spent extra time in his house listening to various music and him introducing and "EXPOSING" me to these stuffs is just awesome. You don't expect to get these kind of music in Msia ok... and thankfully he has all the resources and thankfully he came back to Msia!!
The virtue he has of sharing music with his students i think is just amazing. He is another very generous teacher i've met so far and i can only say i am BLESSED! Really .. blessed. Saxman was right ; sharing music together is a joy. And yes i now understand and am learning to do the same too. Having teachers like these , motivates me to work even harder and really make use of the things i have around me. It was the same for C.H , now will be the same for my jazz. After class the other day i suddenly felt this teeny weeny DOUBT in my heart about my studies again... but yesterday night God assured me the oppposite.
The daily bread said ,
Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. —James 1:6
Totally got His point. I'm afraid i'm going to start shutting my own doors again .. so i have to keep reminding myself it's not going to be easy , there's going to be a lot of ups and downs .. everytime i think i am reaching there it gives me extra confidence but whenever the opposite happens i just gotta keep telling myself it is alright i still have time to push myself. And for once i am really pushing myself to chase after my goals. And GOD is with me. AMEN!
