WOAAAHHHH

It's amazing to hear good music ... especially with a good headphone. Although it's not mine, but plucking on the headphone suddenly out of nowhere because i thought of just browsing through NPR radio to see if there's anything new for me to listen to. Yesterday night i was listening to Roy Eldridge's Piano Jazz interview, but i wasn't concentrating ... so half the time i was dreaming away... dind't know what they were talking about neither what they were jamming in the show.

But tonight ... i just decided spontaneously to hang out in Khye Lin's house and stay over... and since i finished my thanksgiving arrangement this evening (THANK GOD!!!) i am able to now take a little breather... and so i just decided to log on and listen to something .. and i found Miguel Zenon's concert in one of the jazz festivals his quartet played couple of months ago. And wow the quality of the sound is AMAZING ! Not just because the headphone is good ,but the music sounds fantastic as well. I love Miguel Zenon, one of the finest saxaphonist .. nice tone, great music , cuban-American stuffs.... and i think he is a Christian ,love his rendition of Great Is Thy Faithfulness (Now you know where i got the idea of that song? Hahhaha) ...

Currently , his quartet is performing his 2nd composition .. a project for their latest album for Marsalis Music records. Great stuff ... american jazz , but i can't even play as even close to 10% of it! sob sob..when will be my mind open to such high level of playing and play like that... guess it might take another 10 000 steps after all. Well , i'm still a baby to jazz anyway ... got so much more to learn! =)

Great to share good music folks , and studying jazz is just what this is all about. Sharing good music. =) Like sharing the gospel . Amazing .
