We WON!!

And i was just thinking of squeezing everything into 1 post , but looks like i just can't get my bad long winded habit off. Sorry folks , here is what happened on 29th , the BIG day itself.

Both Wei and i woke up at 7 30am .. i heard mom making breakfast outside for both of us.. and i took my bath , wore my costume coz they're going to have a full dress rehearsal at 9 15am and we had to be there at 9 am. Wei was one of the usherers with the rest of the Academy gang .. carrying those boards out with us Finalists during the Opening of the show .. while WE , the finalists... had to carry our state flags ... they were trying to make it like a Commonwealth GAmes or something.. So by 9 am we reached there and went into the hall. Some girls were there already and we just stood there until the rest arrived. Rehearsal was about to start , and we walked into the Green Room and left our stuffs there. We as usual , the most noisy ones took loads of funny pictures and i was playing around with the OPEN AGE board Su Yee was going to hold. Hahhaha... (oh my Cypher is in the OPEN AGE category that's why)

Then it was time for the full dress rehearsal where they go through everything once as in real time competition .. and when it was my turn to play i was a little nervous but didn't really put much energy into it , so Mun Wei was complaining that my climax section of the song with the more gung ho slap bass stunts should be more showed off! After once through rehearsal , it ended about 11 50am and the outstation ppl needed to go check out but we from the ensemble category are allowed to go through our song once.. so MuseMob did another round coz of the ridiculous WIREFUL clip mic where Ting couldn't play much in the morning.... and so after that we went for lunch. I remember eating BREAD the whole day ... thank God C.H bought loads of bread and i finished up all the sandwiches he bought. To keep my stomach SHUT .

By 1pm we were done with lunch , and my make up artist cum P A cum photographer cum supporter cum good friend Mun Wei did my make up for me , while i lied down there on the sofa comfortably relaxing coz i was really sleepy by then . (DIDN"T HAVE ENOUGH SLEEP!) Dark rings were coming out by then .. and Mun Wei's magic hands covered everything ugly on my face. hahaha... While i was busy doing make up , the girls were busy posing for pics together with my oh so dearest teacher. What the .... crazy teacher i have... Carrying the flags and doing all sorts of nonsense pose.

Mun Wei took a long time to finish my face , but i love it. Suddenly i looked like Cleopatra with such bitchy black silver eyes! Ahahahah.. thanks girl! By the time i was done , the other Academy girls came coz it was already 2+pm and Siang also came in to put his bag and spoke a few words to me .. then MuseMob did their own make up with a little help here and there , and i must say i felt like a princess for once. The other girls came in to help make me more shining on my body and all .. and from that day's experience , we all made friends with this oh so not bad looking cool bassist from Penang and he's just 1o yrs old. Basil ... his name is. Mun Wei and i came to a conclusion about his look - Hiro Jr. Really ... with the same bass colour .. gosh... we're seeing one future killer bassist in the making . He really is not bad during his group performance and my friends are drooling all over for him! Mun Wei took so many thousand pictures with him on my camera like as if it was hers and i got irritated by them!

When it was almost 3pm, i suddenly remembered i haven't wipe the Stagea's slippery pedals .. and so i sent Mun Wei out to wipe them on stage because there were already people coming in to fill the hall. And thankfully it was wiped. NO MORE SLIPS during my turn to play for the competition. THANK GOD FOR Cloths! By 3+pm or so , the event started... and blah blah ... the emcee for the day was Christine , she's so cool. Mom said her english is perfect and i think she did a tremendous job!

After the Junior Section , it was my Open Age category's turn ... and so while the 2nd last contestant was playing , they asked the 4 of us to go out and wait for our turn. Ruth was the first , Kai Di 2nd , myself 3rd and the Traffic Jam guy is 4th. I didn't want to sit up there to wait coz it was freaking cold ... and even the 2 boys wearing all so covered up , long sleeves , buttoned, 2-3 layers .. they still felt cold.. while Ruth and i were wearing sleeveless and as thin as possible. Hahahha.... so i stood below the stage with Kai Di and both of us were walking around.. and i started praying in tongues. Couldn't help it .. really cold. Each time i started praying in tongues , i felt like crying .. i think it's God's overwhelming love!

By the time Ruth was done , i went up to sit and it was Kai Di's turn to play .. he played my favourite Andoh song! ANother Century ... it was a good effort really , his playing is pretty matured and the hardest part of all was achieved nicely. Mr Goh's student , indeed is natural. Then while he was playing the Traffic Jam guy was practising on the standby Stagea behind there while i was still praying in tongues behind the long curtains back stage. He kept giving me this hand signal asking me if i want to practice i said NO THANKS. So when Kai Di was about to end his song , i waited there to go out and ta da! It was my turn.

People started watching my hillarious video and when i was busy counting on the big screen i heard giggles all over the audience and just after Christine finished her last sentence about me, i started my song. CYPHER! yay... It wasn't ALL well.. there were many parts i could've done much better but it was more of like trying to stay calm and collected throughout ... but i started mumbling and felt really comfortable doing it , so i mumbled throughout and mun yee who saw me from down t he stage asked Chin Siang ,

"She looked like she was chanting up there"

Nice.. i mumbled until the last note and when job is done , i bowed with a slight smile and left the stage. PHEW ! Heart was still beating fast (it is always the case after my last climax section) and i felt i wasn't breathing ... Went back into the Green Room and my team mates cheered for me and said it was a good effort done. After mr Traffic Jam , the first half was over and there was 20 min intermission. I changed into the MuseMob clothing and here's another joke. The toilet was just directly opposite the door that people would walk in/out to the main hall and so after i came out from the toilet dressed not properly (was only wearing my white tube and jeans without the blue cloth over) and i saw C.H and Mr Goh there. So we talked about my piece and Christine walked past and saw me trying to wear my blue cloth over , she said

"Why bother wearing the one inside ?? No need la... sure win!*

(The blue cloth was just a piece of cloth hanging over our body that looked like a low cut vest so if you do'nt cover you can see everything .. )

I replied ,

"HAAHHAHAH ... OOH yea we never thought of that. Now i know , no need to wear then just put on nipple pads right!?"

"AHH YES YES! Hahhaha"

She left and i turned back ... i forgotten i was talking to my teacher who was a man and Mr Goh was standing just right there with him. Was like , OH how akward. PAi seh...

After much discussion they both left and after the intermission it was the Open Solo category with 4 finalists as well .. MuseMob was getting ready in the Green Room , and before we went out we said our final prayers together as one. With lovely Basil and Brigitta. We always end up praying with some kids .. hahaha ... it happened last year too. We cheered and was ready to be in action. We went up on stage and performed and i think from the audience's point of view it was our best performance thus far. Sadly not for my Elec Guitar solo .. ahhaha sorry ah , a bit koyak on that day. Confession - never practiced! hahahha..

MuseMob bowed , job done. We went back into the Green Room and i changed back into my Cypher clothing because i was more comfortable in the black khaki and zipper tube rather than the oh so loose white tube of my sister's and super tight skinny jeans. I changed and after the final group played , everyone's job was done. Another short intermission .. and that's when i went out to take pictures with my friends , colleagues , whoever that i know amongst the crowd. I went round the hall to them one by one and took pictures with them ,thanks to cameraman Mun Wei. Surprised to see so many LS gang were there , esp my si fu ... Carol , my boss , and even Jane (who brought her cousin as well)! Wow.... i'm touched. hehhehe ....

I couldn't get to take with everyone though , because time was running out .. and so the results were tabulated and i saw my friend giving me a hand gesture asking me to go in and when i went in , all were searching for me actually! hahahha .. pai seh.. after i went up the stage , the prize presentation ceremony begun. And here are the awards ,

Open Solo : Most Outstanding - Mr Goh's student who played the Orient from Andoh's book
Most Outstanding - C.H's student who played Pirates of the Carribean OST

Ensemble : Most Outstanding - MuseMob (Christine calls us the Girl Power)
Most Outstanding - ThirtySixer (the Sabah group from UMS who played Spain
band style)
Best Costume - Passion (the small kids group from penang, Basil's team)
Best Entertainer - Dinah Leom (who had a power house voice singer)


Junior Section : Grand Prix winner - Adrianna something something
there was a poor girl who was suppose to win got 2nd place coz of the stagea seq who stopped by itself when she was playing on stage. Sigh ....

The winning moment was the coolest of all... when they have announced everyone , it was only myself and Ruth left .. and Christine was sighing before she announced the winner , so she started blabbering and before she announced anything, the crowd screamed my name and i was really anxious .. hahaha .. Then i heard Cypher being played in the background and before anyone else noticed i burst out laughing and then walked out to receive my prize. Christine then announced my name while i was walking out ... Mun Wei recorded that moment up and it's soo cool! HAHAHHAHA ....

So yeah , after that it was all pictures pictures pictures .... AND OH.. there were these 2 small girls who came screaming for my name and started following me everywhere i go while i was taking pictures on stage , so i took one with them and before they left the mom came to congratulate me (i don't know them actually , they're the audience) and this girl said to me.

"I want to be like you someday! I want to play the electone well ,i want to cut my hair short like you , i don't want to wear spectacles like you! "

Then i replied ,

"It's ok i wear the specs at home too! you don't have to loose it"

Then she contineud ,

"I also want to wear as sexy as you!"

I GOT SHOCKED AND SNAPPED QUICKLY ,

"No no no no ! I only wear like this for performance , you don't have to wear like this to look good,. You are very cute!"

GREAT ...WHAT HAVE I PUT INTO CHILDREN'S MINDS!??!??!

i'm really happy .. and from Sun's event , i learnt that there's a lot of people out there loving me.
