ahhh .. it's been such a long time ever since i updated my blog. Sorry friends , i know you guys were waiting for something to happen here but nothing came out after the interesting exam i had weeks ago. Anyway , this few days is all bout our end of semester concert , which we ALL DREAD to have this time. Wasn't fun and exciting at all . As expected , with the amount of LAST SECOND work we were faced with . So yeah the theme is ,

But after yesterday's first day TERRIFYING rehearsal i joked on the lunch table and re-named our concert theme to

Music From The Screw-Ups

It's nice to see a bunch of full-time so called professional music students soon to be out there furthering their studies in UK and graduating to join the professional working world performing just like the opposite. Hahahahaha ... nah wasn't that bad , the solo performances were fine except someone . ERR HMM .. YOU would know . hahaahha The vocal ens were out of sometimes without energy .. then the classic performance came from US

the Instrumental ENS.

Who embarrased ourselves with a supposedly very interesting HAUNTING DAUNTING IMPRESSIVE opening piece called Gnomus ..BUT again it turned out just as the opposite. Then we embarrased ourselves even more by marching into the hall with Mayonaisse , Wine , Olive Oil , and Heineken beer bottles which in return sounded like some Temple gathering by the monks . Of course not to forgettin our beloved Scherzo piece , where all 5 of us couldn't co-ordinate well together .. so .. it wsa MESSY .

So by the end of the 1st time rehearsa Julie was so frustrated that she COMMANDED fiercely for a 2nd run-through before we were released for lunch. Then WE the ss2 gang who needed to go run errands to get more stuffs for the hall decoration , had a good time chatting in Wong Kok drinking my SALTY DOG .. AWWW>... awesome drink. And got my face so burnt RED after eating the X.O Fried Rice upon returning to Yamaha ... =(

The decoration took us many hours .. and overall not many stayed to help but with the amount of hands and brain involved i was really glad and happy and touched that it all worked out in the end. =) Thank you all! Thank YOU for

1) Coming upstairs to sew for us and do it after being called by Julie and stayed til 6 pm ahahha
2) Cancelling your private students classses to help though u talked TOO MUCH
3) Helping me climb up the ladder to sew though it wasn't the best way hahaha
4) Helping me fix the cloth inside the lights =)
5) Giving the idea of hanging the cloth inside the lights
6) Giving a few brilliant ideas that we experimented and worked
7) FOr entertaining us with ur soothing piano playing and staying back with me ...appreciate ur presence

I really appreciate it .... though i was RUDE and mean .. and i seriously thought of abandoning the curtain idea and come out with something else ... but God said in His word

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH CHRIST JESUS

So why not ? We kept singing All Things Are POssible whenever there's an achivement here and there throughout the deco ... and i think it's also my first time seeing Julie staying back to help us with the deco. Hahhaha HoT MAMA also help .. =) By almost 7pm we finally announced the COMPLETION of the decoration and Loretta even walked in while i was HIGH UP on the ladder fixing some stuffs ... and i screamed

"HI LORETTA !! YAMAHA IS SO POOR THAT THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY PERMANENT CURTAINS TO FIX ON THIS UGLY STAGE!"

Loretta obviously walked in from the open hall door and asked me shut up but i screamed even louder so that the ppl outside know ... ahahha and she started laughing at my position up there. ARGHH

After the deco was finished , it was time for YYO and no time for dinner . But the final YYO practice was rather amusing .. because of several incidents that my TALKATIVE class-mate's blunder. Imagine Siang walking over to the timpani to get ready to play the next piece but he was suppose to be at the electone instead ... and then Dr Chong with a very very strange perculiar face with his baton up high getting ready for us to start suddenly looked at him , at us , turned down to his organizer , and checked and turned back up to Siang again before Siang realized it was the wrong piece and Siang hopped back like a bunny to the Electone and said

"Eh now is Orpheous hoh!?"

Guess what , everyone BURST out ... especially ME . The laughing machine.

Then while practising the Orpheous piece , our dearest trumpetter was blowing with a flatten pitched-trumpet .. and that irritated Dr Chong (who has perfect pitch it seems) . Siang wanted to move over to help him tune it from the top of the valve and guessed what , he pulled the thing a little too hard and it went

POP!

Yup like wine and Pringles. Hahaaahhahaha!! We all

BURST OUT in laughter again. Especially ME . The laughing machine.

After YYO we all went back and i went to have a late dinner with Poh Yee ... We then found out that Instrumental Ens people have to come at 9 30am today because my beloved teacher C.H is willing to come and "check" on us. HOW ? Don't know but he just did.

So it was 9 30am and everyone gathered in the hall .... by 9 50am we all were setting up to start our Gnomus practice .. C.H helped here and there to change the sounds and i tell you .. this guy is amazingly NICE. Not only he has the heart to help us , (he doesn't mind though we're not under him) ,he doesn't mind coming extra early , he even felt GUILTY for not being able to come tomorrow night for our concert and yeah after he left for before lunch he said

"If there's a problem with the group tomorrow i will come. Otherwise see how."

Then in the evening just now he sms-ed me asking

"Is there any prob with the registration for instrumental ens just now?"

Where do i find such a nice faithful generous teacher!?THANK YOU SO MUCH ! APPRECIATE YOUR NICE DEED! GOD I WAND TO SEE HIM IN HEAVEN!


Oh right .. so after a couple of hours staying back in school after the rehearsal ... we got some things straight and tighten up our playing for Instrumental tomorrow and hopefully this dreadful disgusting semester will END wonderfully tomorrow night. I don't know why , but i just have this hinch that tomorrow night's concert won't be a FLOP and it will be good and presentable. Hope i'm right . Prayers still needed though , been praying since last week every night for it to go smoothly.
