OPENED DOOR !! GOD IS GREAT !!!! MAGNIFICENT!

Ok this is frustrating ... thanks to my pathetic pc that will go k.o anytime , whatever i typed a few days ago regarding my scholarship audition and interview was wiped offf !! Completely gone ! Like tsunami that washed it all away becuase i din't manage to save it in time !! ARRGHH!!!

Due to that problem and because i'm quite tired ... i don't really have the mood anymore to write my grandmother story ... chronologically .... gosh i would love to but let's see how ... i hope my pc won't go off again this time .

And so it all started with a taxi ride i had on Tues morning at 9 am from my house to Sedaya . I took a cab that it was the first day of this driver driving a taxi! How funny .... and so he wasn't really sure of the exact location of UCSI . Neither do i , honestly . And when we passed Leisure Mall he asked me to go straight or not i answered "YES" and that's how we saw Pheonix Plaza , passed 2 tolls to Hulu Langat , continued on a highway that i don't remember seeing , and seeing more and more signboards reading "Kajang , Seremban , KLIA , Pusat Bandaraya" . Where's Cheras ?? Tmn Connaught ?

Yup and after the 2nd toll i asked him where were we , and we realised we were in the wrong direction , so he took a U-turn and after passing Pheonix Plaza i saw this little signboard saying "UCSI" and so i quickly asked him to turn left . He already missed the turning but he took the danger to stop at the divider and reverse back . I finally saw UCSI and thank God i reached there exactly at 10 am!!! The lady who liased with me called me when i was on the way walking up the slope and i had to convince her i'm here already and apologise because i lost my way . How embarrasing!

Anyway , was brought into the School of Music office and met with Ms Liu(the lady who liased with me) , and she brought me into my auditioner's office ... Dr Jeffrey Rowlands , the head of dept for Contemporary music . Yeah and so we met and had a little chat before proceeding to the band room where this EL-60 stood there and i thought ;

POOR OLD RUSTY DUSTY LITTLE THING!!! AM I GONNA PLAY YOU ???

I really looked into it with a disgusting look and gosh ... doesn't anyone come in to wipe it off or anything ? at least before i came! Gossh.. anyway , besides the physical condition of the electone, the inner side of it is still pretty fine . and so i performed my 3 repertoire and he just sat beside me like what my teacher would do every Sunday ... ahhaha so not used to it ok .. had some mistakes here and there but they were all minor ones .. here's his remarks .

After 1st song : Wow that was exciting ! The number buttons change automatically ? Did you
sequence all the drum beats yourself ?
After 2nd song (Tequila) : Really nice ! You know we have a lecture , his name is Juan Pablo and he is from South America , so he should really listen to this latin song ... If only he's here to hear it .
After 3rd song : Very good ! I'm really happy to have seen what you showed me this morning .. IT's really nice .. Do you like performing ? You perform a lot ?

Ok i didn't know those songs impresesd him so much .. but Thank GOD! Then he wanted to test my sight reading but he said he has to go back to his office to get the score and we parted because i wanted to go the toilet to clean my hands . When i came out of the toilet i was shocked to see him with this familiar figure i could recall .. Juan Pablo! Hahah how exciting ! He recognised me after some reminding and Dr Jeffrey wanted me to play Tequila again for him to hear ... gosh .. how honoured i felt ! Though i was sceptical coz i just washed my hands ! Hahaha but it's ok , i'm more than happy to do that ...

After playing that song , he left the room and we proceeded with sight reading .. boy it was a piano piece and so i had to do it without a choice . I've never had a sight reading test with your auditioner/examiner showing you the first few bars ! ahahahah he was really nice ... he showed me the 1st few bars and then i get to take my own sweet time to look through before starting .. i had to do 2 pieces and after both pieces i could hardly believe my ears when he said

"Good! Very well done!"

I was like ,

WHAT ??!?? Gosh I'd failed if this was Yamaha exam .. haahhah (in my heart of course)

Anyway , then we went back to his office and he had a chat with me .. discussing my course outline .. what subjects he can exempt me and so on ... the way he put it is as though i've gotten the scholarship and my heart was jumping in delight ! Until he said that later i'd have to meet with The Star publication ppl to interview me ... I was "GOSH!INTERVIEW?!??"
Yeah and so after that i walked around until 11 30 am and went back to the music school office when Ms Liu detected me saying ,
"You're here .. i'm searching for you .. they're here already waiting for you ."
I went ,
CRAP! Waiting for me ?? Oh gosh bad impression!!

Urgened into the studio where 3 ppl were seated in front of me .. i took a sit and 2 ppl from the Star and 1 lady from Sedaya interviewed me . Questions were thrown at me but thank God for His wisdom !! Ok la it wasn't really like a debate session but now i kinda find our stupid prefect interview was a bit helpful . haahhaha in a way ! After interview they said they'll call me back to see if there;'s Good News ... then i left the room feeling blur and helpless . Should i go home ? What's next ? See who ? Dr Jeff then saw me and asked what's going on , then one of the Star paper lady walked out and had a kind of private chat with him ..

He then walked out and helped me look for Ms Liu .. So ms Liu went to ask the Star ppl while i was waiting outside .. i could hear their loud voices talking and discussing but wasn't loud enough to hear the words ... later she called me in because they forgot to tell me something (it seems).
I walked in and wished them again .. then they said this :

"Ok we've never done this and never going to do it again , but because you're such a good candidate and you told us it's ok your family can bear the remaining 60% of the scholarship we've decided to let you know the results now . We are going to grant you the scholarship . Congratulations! "

That blew a sigh of relieve in me!! YAY!!! SUddenly it was a shock but then later it started to sink in ... the rest is history and finally i took a cab home ... feeling
Boy , this is going to be my 2nd home for the next 4 years ...

Now the last thing i have to worry is what my boss will say tomorrow when i confront her with this news . At the moment i am so worried and anxious about her feelings , what would she say ? Will she be mad ? Gosh help .. I live not to please men but i really have difficulty in controlling this feeling! HELP ME GOD !
But thinking of this reminded me of last Sun's service worship .. when i entered church and heard the song Future it struck right into my heart reminding me that my future's in God's hands and therefore i shall not worry . Now i trust that if He grants me this scholarship , means i'll have a way out to things . I will have a very packed schedule in the future , and probably will be stuck in between 2 things at times , miss classes when i have to go for Yamaha seminar , but i really hope God opens a way out . Thanks LoRD!

conclusion : I FINALLY HAVE A SCHOOL TO GO TO AND I'M STARTING NEXT WEDNESDAY !!!!
