Triste
Hello folks !
First and foremost i want to say this though it's already history for more than 7 days ...
"Thank you all so much for the kind and heartfelt birthday wishes to me ! Especially YOU for spending so much time sitting down and pending ur thoughts down ... and also YOU for taking the effort to bring me out to celebrate in mamak! And to YOU for keeping my birthdate in the hp reminder though it came a few days late .. ahahha and YOU ALL for singing that funny 3 different keys of birthday song! "
I had a great 19th birthday ... it wasn't any unusual day .. just that this year i didn't particularly want it to be out of cast or special ... it was just a normal school day and it only was made special because of YOUR blog post and kind effort of THE RECEIPT ! hahahaha
Well , for those who would love to obtain more information regarding "THE RECEIPT" please do kindly click on Becky's blog below ... you'll read and see all about it there . For i'm running out of time and energy now , i'd better write about other things . All in all , i just hope Mei Hui doesn't forget my all important request!! SCHUMI!!!!!!!!!
Since my last post was a dedication totally to my beloved ex-teacher , and that happened like 4 weeks ago since i started college . (College!?? Well it's more like an Academy with a total number of 25 students!) Basically i started school on the 6th of March .... which was weeks ago!
And i can't believe how time flies ... day after day passed just like that . With me busy running and rushing and driving and stressing around KL and Kajang like nobody's business... Oh and not to forget with a massive car accident included in this 4 weeks too . Time flew so fast that now my car which was sent to the workshop for repair is already back and i'm glad it came back ! Try going round KL without a car for 2 weeks when your school is in the middle of the LDP highway and working in AMpang Point ! I'm thankful things happened in a way i was able to arrange for transport and thank God for my family members !
Shall not elaborate on my car accident ... all i can say it was terrible , the impact was quite huge that my car damaged pretty badly , but i'm just thankful myself and the other driver are safe ... And the other party are nice people and i only have to pay rm 120 for the so-called "police station documentation" charges . The rest are claimable from their insurance . But i'm already very broke this month ... =(
Don't quite like that blue .. too striking .
Anyway , back to schooling ... I've officially went through 3 weeks of school and that means 15 full days of school in Yamaha! YAY! And guess what , without any sign of breakdown and negative feelings of school ! I didn't come home every night feeling like i hate school , dreading to wake up the next morning to go for class and complaining about my friends ! I won't say i love school , but i'm having fun and enjoying myself there . Honestly ...
Surprised huh ? I myself am surprised at how fast i get used to studying there ... I'm just totally sucky at getting used to new environment ... that's why all the fuss when i was in Sedaya ... What can i complain about when i've got so many new things to learn every single day there ?
Though we've started all those classical music analysis and studies but hey .. they'r not as bad as i thought it was ....
I just read about becky's blog on her thoughts on Lit subject and hey .. i thought of music just as the same way as Lit . I now realise that studying music is exactly like studying Lit ... Have you thought of why in those days during the Baroque / Classical / Romantic / 20th Century Period (The what!? I know .. i mean classical music composers) composers compose music in this or that particular way ? Whatever we're studying now in school is mostly analytical work , and in a way it is quite tough for me to catch up because i totally have no idea what classical music is all about ... but hey learning it is pretty interesting . We learnt the WHY's , WHAT , HOW , and WHEN of music and reasons behind every single note . I've never imagined you could talk about so many things in just 8 little quaver notes .
Well , i prefer not to think of it negatively . When it comes to classical stuffs , i never liked it .. but then everyone is born with preference . Except God .. He's so fair ... But whatever i'm doing now makes us think out of the box which M'sian education system don't emphasize on ... If you were to look at it another way it's just like why were we made to study add-maths in highschool but never apply it now ? It's just knowledge ... and it brings no harm . I take it this way , so i can go on for the next 2 years of my diploma study . God gives us choices and i'd like to choose it in a positive way because i guess i don't want to disappoint anybody , including myself , and God .
I wrote all those in the above 2 days ago but couldn't finish it because my best friend had to call me urgently to tell me about his good news and we chatted till 1+am ... it's been really a long time ever since i heard Zk so happy and excited about anything ... especially about GOd! He's back! and i thank Him for returning my old buddy .... u know , i totally miss the old you ..but i'm glad you learnt some very important lesson throughout this 2 years and it has made you an even stronger Christian . In a way i'm disappointed with myself because as your best friend i couldn't do anything to help you spiritually but only pray for you .. i couldn't help you stop your addiction , i couldn't say anything that gets through your ears (i don't know why!) , and i it wasn't me that brought you out of the ditch . Anyway i'm glad that God worked through ur uncle and the most important fact is you're back! =)
Ok back to life ... Sorry i get carried away easily ... Back to school ... today's Thursday and tomorrow's Friday which means it's another week passed! We've been given assignments and projects and presentations and performance preparations which means more and more work and more and more busy! I really don't know how to cope with my time and work but i'm just gonna trust in the Lord because i work not by my own might but by His spirit . So Lord shall be my strength .
But no matter how busy or stress i could be , i will never forget what ah Phua said to me once . If you really enjoy doing something no matter how hard it is you'll get through it . So yeah , i'm enjoying every moment of it ! I enjoy my individual instrument classes the most , then followed by instrumental ensemble (means play in a group) , then music production (i'm getting a new pc to produce music at home!!! which means more hutang and i'm broke again!) , followed by the other analytical classes .
I enjoy electone and jazz piano ... most important factor i think it i'm blessed with great teachers ! Pok is astounding ! James is heart melting ! After going through my first electone class with Pok i now realise i've missed out on so many small but important things last time and he's really good ... he really impresses you to the brim ... with his musicality , style , and hand technics and all ... i wonder how are all his students in LS like then .. .with a cool teacher like him ... =)
Then there you have James Boyle ... one of the best jazz pianist in KL ... you'd probably seen him somewhere performing in a band in KL ... he's really heart melting .. when he touches the piano and plays any jazz piece , you just want to dance along ! Its not easy , but i'm having fun playing jazz !! (on my alien instrument , the piano!!) When he starts improvising any jazz song , you close your eyes and you could almost imagine that's Diana Krall or Jamie Cullum .. or better than that ! hahahaah ... =)
So yeah .. there ... almost all about school .. but i'm starting to get stressed though , with so much weekly homework and big projects coming up and due soon ... not to mention preparing for lunchtime concerts on certain Wednesdays of the month .... we barely have time to relax .. and as for me , after i come home from school i gotta practice or finish my homework before it piles up because i can't afford to ... or else gotta do teaching lesson plan and practice for teaching ... sigh .. i'm always tired .. like Pok .. hahaha
We both have one similarity .. we're busy people because i work and study but he's busy because he works every single day without an off day from teaching in LS to lecturing in Academy , teaching private students (not so sure how much he does that) , doing music production and doing composition for Yamaha Japan thingey (ocassionally) .. Whenever i see him he always complains about being tired .. he has this tired and fatigue look in his eyes and body movements though when he teaches me he's all brighten up and doesn't show any of those signs ... In just these 3-4 weeks i've heard about more than 5 times of him complaining about being tired .. and i often only gave him one answer which is to take a break and go for a vacation ...
I guess the only difference we both have is i probably am not as busy as he is and i could still go on because i have Jesus in me ... He gives me the mental and physical strength i need because i can't do it without Him . Pok is already showing mental and physical fatigue after 6 years of working non stop i can't imagine how long can he go on .. So as a conclusion i'm just going to pray things will get more relaxing for him and God will open a way for me to preach to him . I missed a very good "fish" once , i won't want to miss this second "fish" .
Ooops ... suppose to come online to do research on my assignment .. instead came bloggin . Hahaha take care folks ! I mean have fun reading Bex ! Tomorrow i'll be going to school to collect my SPM cert and certify some other certs for PTPTN loan ... will catch up with you other time. Auf Wiedersehn !
