Family
Since it's 1 45am and i'm still awake though my eyes hardly allow me to .. I'm stubborn becausei want to die die get online and publish my previous post . The music i'm listening to keeps meawake i guess . Was listening to my JMC 1 and 2 CD (sounds pathetic huH!?? listening to children'ssongs.. ahahha but they're really quality music since it's composed by Japanese musicians .Now changed to some nice mp3 from Metal Gear SOlid OST though .. real good acoustic jazz balladtitled Can't Say GOodbye to Yesterday .
This post is dedicated to my family ... the entire of the Tans'... ahahhaha Sometimes i wonder with blessings how God placed me in this great family though i longed for a complete Christianfamily like many of my friends ... but anyway , which family is complete other than God?
Couple of days ago when i was in my sister's house in Puchong , i was on the way home from refuelling my car and oh gosh ... i did something so sinful that God straight away striked mewith lightning!
I parked into Petronas and went to the counter to pay rm50 first then did the refuelling processas usual . When it's done , i walked to the counter to claim my change and was strange to findthat the machine printed the receipt stated RM 21.50 when i recalled i pumped fuel worthRM 28.50 . Thought my eye sight was poor , i took the change and checked the pump outside again. No i was right ... the machine was wrong . Huh talking about technology ... Without hesitation i took the change and flew home . While trying to reverse park my car into my sis house , i wasso busy looking at both side mirrors until i totally forgot about the rear mirror that when i saw it , it was too late . I was too near the inside grill gate and when i hit the break pedal , i heard a soft crack . Guess what , i banged into her shoe rack and it broke into 2 parts , up and down ... the worse part is the whole shoe rack got stuck just between my bumper and exsos pipe!
Feeling embarrased , i pulled over and asked my sis to help me pull it out . She came from the kitchen and open her door ... when she saw the mess i created , she stopped for almost 1 minto just LAUGH her lungs out! Sigh , talking about helpful sisters ... well of course she thenhelped me pull the shoe rack out but now instead of earning extra rm 7 for cheating at the petrolstation , i had to spend rm9 to buy her another shoe rack ! Who said God wasn't fair!?
I remembered zhan kin told me a similar incident of him cheating at the petrol station once and i condemned him but now i'm doing the same subconsciously ... how stupid am i ... folks , nevercondemn and if you do , make sure you don't repeat the same thing ! God is Watching!
Well then of course my sis didn't dispose the shoe rack and left it broken as it is so that my bro-in law can come home from work and see the evidence . After that , we went mamak-ing as usual at night and my sis called home (my house) to my eldest bro in law , Adrian just to tell him the "reverse park shoe rack hit" incident . It then became the Headlines of the Tan family..of course not mentioning the "joke of the century" too .

In another account ... i had a great morning today enjoying my
Stagea workshop with
Max Takano!!Though i thought i'd never be interested to go ,but i think i should stop being lazy and go asmany seminars and workshops as i can before i officially start studying in March next yr .. i don't want to be skipping lessons just to go for all these . It was pretty interesting ,beneficial and fascinating! THough i stil haven't touch a Stagea , i think it's no harm knowinga little more knowledge on the instrument and the wonders of it . Hats off to the JApanese engineers who created this man ... the sound is awesome and so real! Much better quality than my EL-500 or any other EL electone now.. (the black models) .
Though it was just a sitting down one way lecture-like workshop (he talks all the time and play the Stagea as examples for us to hear) , it wasn't at all boring with his great sense of humour in japanese accented english, and cold air-cond from Yamaha KJ . He not only showed what the basic regis of the Stagea can do , he showed us different genre of music the Stagea can play like you're listeningto real band playing. You want Miles Davis , we have it.. You want Diana Krall , we have it ..you want Count Basie Big Band , we have it .. you want Tcshaicovsky (how u spell his name!?) , we have it .. you want Guns and Roses , we have it .. you want The Beatles , we have it .. youwant a blues music we have it... you want Club Techno or Crazy Frog music , we have it . You want music box children music ,we have it .. you want tv show sound effects (for quizzes) we have it too ! You name it , Takano-san did it with
Stagea! All you have to do is just pressbuttons! hahahha
Well of course the best part is ending his workshop with a finale from the Star Wars THeme medley OST . He is best known for using original preset instrument sounds to create music in theelectone .. so hats off to his Star Wars medley! Not only the orchestra strings sound so real, the best part was when in the middle of the medley there's a short 4 bar sound of someone breathing in his helmet!! Can you imagine DArth Vaider breathing in his black mask!? It's soooreal!! Then there's also a part where you can hear missiles being launched by ships just like in the movie .. so cool that you close your eyes you can imagine you're watching the movie trailer!
Too bad i forgot to bring my recorder today ... couldn't record the song or session down ..I'll see if i can bring it on Sunday when i watch his concert . I'm sure he'll play more greatmusic to come! Gambateh Takano-san!
