METAL GEAR SOLID! hERE I COME!

hahahhah i know it's 2 30am now ... and i should be in bed having sweet dreams and tugging myself under my cozy mattress and Pylo .... but here i go again ! Up and awake (not entirely coz i'm very tired physically actually!) doing what? ahhahah i fulfilled my promise !!

Yesterday night i told myself this will be the last night i come online to chat because today is Monday and i need to start my "LIST TO DO" things today onwards ! Enough of the addiction because it's so not me.... though i was disappointed eric ko-ko didn't manage to buy my thumb drive from Low Yat which means i can't go to C.H's house to collect books and Stagea data (Andoh's AYURA!!!) to practice any songs ... that doesn't mean i'd have to lay back and be complacent .

I chose... to start something ... it could be impro (dunno why lost mood for that!) , could be czerny (but house no piano) , could be jazz piano (no piano) , could be Metal Gear SOlid arrangement (i was encouraged by Grace to arrange it for electone to play! ehheh) ... so out of the many things to do , i could do these few stuffs first without having to wait until i get some books from C.H... so yeah .. i chose to start my MGS (Metal Gear SOlid) arrangement ... first.

And woaaahh ... once i pop i can't stop ! HAhahahah ... due to my migraine suffered since afternoon coz of the bad hot weather and lack of sleep (duno why not enough when i sleep 8-9 hours a day!!) i still forced myself to do something ... so tried to start somewhere and the hardest part is STARTING ... once i got it , the momentum'll carry on easily .

And so ... i tried doing the sequencing of the background without transcribing the notes down first . Realised that's a bad choice .... i don't have extra sound effects in my el and i don't know how to edit the basic drum sounds in the EL to become electronic and modern like the original track . STuck there and decided to abandon that (though the whole idea of doing the arrangement is to learn how to sequence on the electone-don't care whether EL or Stagea) .

Next step ... tried listening to notes and transcribe it down on my manuscript . This was easier and more fun! ahhaahhhah ... and so i did..... torturing my poor ears to listen to the deafening and thick structure of music for hours and rolling it hundreds of time ... up till now i finally got the transcription for half the song! YAY!!! It's not really that hard to transcribe for electone arrangement though .. just 3 parts to find out . What the right hand should play , what the left hand should play and finally i hate this part . What the leg(BASS) should play! Arrrghhh my ears are especially poor when coming to listen to the bass... so mellow and low... i hardly can hear .

Anyway the song is only 2 min 42 sec so it's not a very long and difficult song to transcribe ... the hardest part has yet to come . Sequencing the sounds from scratch ! That's the fun part too i guess... hehehhe and that's when i NEED TO LEARN from C.H .. the expert . So , my aim... finish transcribing the song before next sem starts and at least try to sequence some sounds before i ask C.H to teach me officially how to use the electone . Then i can play that song for my next sem!! hahahhaha i'm so excited bout playing it . Coz it's super cun and upbeat ! So my type of song! ahahaha (pi lin pang pang according to C.H , is MY TYPE OF SONG).

So yeah... MGS Solid Snake! Here i come !!

Oh and if i can complete this arrangement in style .... then doing arrangements for my electone students are CHICKEN FEET! ahahahha No this is not my 1st piece of arrangement because before this i've completed a Jennifer Lopez "Waiting for Tonight" number arrangement for my student who was suppose to sit for Gd 8 exam but ran away before i could show her the final version . ARRGHHH ... but she made me learn how to use my EL 500 . But that was kinda sucky coz i dont really know how to match good sounds together . This will be my first official Gd 5-3 arrangement ! hheheh from scratch! (no score found .. sadly =( which makes this more tedious than other arrangements )
