Auf Wiedersehn Schumi

Now it's 1 20 am , 9th October 2006 . Remember this date .

I went to work after a great church session ... was teaching my 2nd student until i received a mysterious sms from Teck at 2 04pm. Guess what ... it read :

"Horse down liao .."

At 2 09pm i received another sms from mum . It read :

"MS retired!"

I went .,.. Great guys! Thanks for the awesome news when i'm still teaching and planning to watch the repeat on Astro at 10+pm at night .

Anyway ... i just want to say , even after knowing the worse news of the day that Schumi retired from the Japanese F1 GP this afternoon ... i came home without feeling the bitterness yet though i did allow my mood to control over me as my poor student became my victim of my uncontrolled temper . (Partly she didn't practice!)

Things were pretty normal until i anticipated his retirement throughout the grand prix as i sat down on the sofa watching the repeat that ended 2 minutes ago . With 15 laps remaining , for the first time in 6 years the Ferrari 248 F1 engine blew off in fashionable blue smoke and it had to be in the no 3 car .

The point is , i actually cried like a baby watching him climb out of the car helplessly , waving to the crowd , walking along the side banks of the circuit back to the pit building , and looking ever so calm and cool like a genuine champion .

And my tears strolled down my cheeks again when the cameras showed him finally reaching the garage and acknowledging every single mechanics and team crew telling them something and exchanging hugs and hand shakes . Who is Alonso to say that he's the most unsporting driver in F1 history? It's been awhile i remember seeing him so calm and collected after an engine blow especially in the most crucial and desperate situation like these . Worse news is , his arch rival Alonso took the lead and is now leading by 10 comfortable points heading into the last race of the season .

Hypothesis : The title is over . Alonso will secure his 2nd Drivers World Championship in BRazil.

Conclusion : Auf Wiedersehn Schumi ... I'm thankful God created another amazing human like you to be a role model onto so many young people out there . Whatever it is , everything happens for a reason and God knows what's best .

Opinion 1 : Come to think of it , maybe God doesn't want him to win this 8th title before he retires from the sport because He wants everyone to know that no matter how good you are sometimes you need to rely on God and not lean on your own because we all need God and He is in control.

Opinion 2 : Maybe Alonso and co. prayed and fasted much more than the Ferrari crew members throughout the night .
